1992- Macedonia declares independance, followed by Bosnia
1992- Ahatovici massacre (56 dead)
1992- Siege of Sarajevo begins
1992- Reports of “ethnic cleansing,” concentration camps, mass rapes
1993- The U.N. Security Council declares six “safe areas” for Bosnian Muslims: Sarajevo, Tuzla, Bihac, Srebrenica, Zepa and Gorazde
1994- Serbian forces shell a Sarajevo market, killing 68 people
1995- Bosnian Serbs seize Srebrencia and murder 8,000 muslim men and boys over 5 days and us many as 50,000 woman and girls raped
1995- Peace agreement signed in Paris
1996- Siege of Sarajevo ends
1996- International criminal tribunal for ex-Yugoslavia begins work in hague
2001- Milosevic is arrested by Yugoslavian arthorities
2002- The trial of Milosevic begins on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Bosnia, Croatia abd Kosovo and comitting genocide in Bosnia
